As a Financial Advisor for Curtis & Associates, Jack supports multiple lines of service for the firm, including investment advisory, managing 401k plans and developing customized insurance solutions for clients and strategic partners.  In addition, he proactively supports all aspects of growth for the firm, including business development, firm operations and he enjoys discovering outside the box methods of improving workflow efficiencies.  Jack is currently the third generation to support Curtis & Associates and takes pride in helping local and national clients to gain clarity around the plan they have in place and the opportunities available.

Having grown up watching his father, grandfather, and uncle in the industry, it may seem unsurprising that Jack ended up in the business as well. However, this wasn’t always Jack’s intended path. He excelled in math and really enjoyed working with numbers, which led him to pursue a career path within the business realm that involved working with numbers. Jack attended the University of Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance with a concentration in investments and a minor in accounting. He was also part of a Walton Leadership program, which is geared toward giving participants more hands-on learning experience before graduation. 

After college, Jack worked for a veterinary pharmaceutical company in their accounting department. During his two and a half years there, he fulfilled a number of roles and duties, including helping the company bring their accounting in-house, as well as facilitating a transition to a cloud-based financial new software.

Upon joining the Curtis and Associates team, Jack’s role was initially in sales. He quickly identified several areas where he could enhance operations and processes for several services the firm provided.  Throughout this exposure, he was able to get his feet wet and meet with clients, ultimately becoming one of the go-to advisors for many of the firm’s clients. He values honesty and integrity and has seen over the years how crucial this is when working in the financial services and life insurance industry. Gaining and maintaining the trust of clients is always fundamental to every part of Jack’s work.

Outside the office, you will likely find Jack at the dog park with his dog Ruby or perusing the farmers market in downtown Overland Park. Jack is a die-hard Kansas City Royals and Chiefs fan and also enjoys going to Razorbacks games. He also plays golf and pickleball in his spare time.
